Farm Road Residence

This project was all about the angles. We twisted this space 45 degrees to compliment the striking angles of the home's architecture. This space is now all about outdoor living with couches to relax in, a cozy fire to warm up to, a spa area complete with a hot tub, and some strategic planting with interest.

A major challenge to this site is that it sits on a hill. To address this, we created two spaces: an upper area with a barbecue area and access to the main floor kitchen,  and a lower level where we carved out the outdoor living area and spa. Near the patio doors is the hot tub for quick access to the house on chilly nights. Once you make the turn around the corner of house there is a courtyard area with a large couch, comfortable chairs, and a fire wrapped around by a large retaining wall.
