Victoria Lake Residence

At this residence it was important to create a welcoming entrance space that kept with the natural aesthetic of the home. The positioning of the garden beds and large natural stone planter define the space from the driveway, and create a short but winding path to the doors. This forces the guest to slow their movement through the space, to bring them in contact with the garden and natural elements and create an experience of passage before reaching their destination. Keeping with the aesthetic of the home and surrounding property, woodland type plants were chosen in a palette of greens and whites with attention to texture and scent which adds to the experience of the visitor. A splash of red foliage in the planter box is the perfect accent to draw your attention to the front doors.
